Our Duke of Edinburgh presentation evening is on Thursday 3 October 2019, led by ‘BXM Expeditions’, school expedition specialists. The evening is aimed at parents of girls in Year 9 who are interested in doing the Bronze Award and parents of girls in Year 10 who would like to do the Silver Award. Manor House School offers both Bronze and Silver awards to give senior pupils additional skills, confidence and an edge over other applicants when applying for college, university or a future job role.
Girls can join Silver as a direct entrant, they do not need to have done Bronze; however any girl who has started Bronze should have completed it or must be able to assure Mrs Russo that it will be completed before they undertake the Silver Award. The meeting will be held in the Elizabeth Green Hall from 4.15pm-5.15pm.
BXM Expeditions will also be running an assembly on the morning of Thursday 3 October 2019 for Senior girls to explain fully what is involved in the expedition side of the award.
