We have launched the Leadership Skills Programme this term in the Senior School. This is a Level 2 qualification designed to develop student confidence across all academic subjects through improving a pupil's understanding of leadership and management.
Each pupil will complete an eight to ten week training programme during which they also plan a one hour demonstration to be delivered to younger pupils on a Science topic of their choice. The programme is currently being offered to a range of students across all ability levels from Years 7 - 10.
The opportunity to work with different year groups on work not linked to their usual curriculum means students are encouraged to participate in ways they would not normally. The final demonstrations will be made to some of our Prep School pupils and the students are very excited to be able to work with them.
Over the next two terms we will have thirty students completing the course.
