In October, the Friends of Manor House School (FOMHS) organised the Colour Fun Run in support of World Mental Health Day.
The event was hosted on World Mental Health Day on Tuesday 10 October with the aim of raising awareness about mental health issues while promoting the importance of physical well-being in maintaining good mental health for children.
Manor House School, is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. By hosting the Colour Fun Run, they were keen to engage the School community in a vibrant and interactive event that encouraged open conversations about mental health.
The Colour Fun Run offered an exhilarating experience for participants, combining physical activity with an explosion of vibrant colours. Open specifically for children in the Upper Prep and Senior School at Manor House School, the event was a non-competitive, untimed run/walk around the beautiful grounds of Manor House School, ensuring that children of all fitness levels were able to participate and have a great time.
It was the perfect way to remind us all that movement and colour is good for our mental health.
The Colour run closed a day of wellbeing activities including our guest assembly visitor Buster the dog who is training to be a therapy dog. Girls made origami hearts and decorated them with their thoughts about what makes them happy and feel safe.
