On Thursday 28 November 2024, Manor House School is hosting a Year 3 Experience Day.
The event will take place at Manor House School, Bookham, from 8.45 am to 3.30 pm.
Prospective Year 3 pupils will join the current Year 2 pupils for a 'World of Imagination' themed day, based around the books by author Roald Dahl. Children will explore the wonderful world of Roald Dahl through Performing Arts, Science experiments, English and Art. By fostering a love of reading and building the imagination, children will have an immersive day of delving into our favourite Roald Dahl stories.
This Year 3 Experience Day helps to highlight the benefits of a Manor House School education, in the Independent Sector, where girls grow in confidence and excel academically in a safe and nurturing environment. Offering the highest standards of education, pastoral care and extra-curricular activity for all pupils.
Parents will be able to meet the Head of Prep School, who will present what we offer to girls in Year 3 and to discuss the transition from Lower Prep to Upper Prep. Prospective families will be able to meet other parents over refreshments and provides an opportunity to ask questions.
The Year 3 Experience Day is free to attend. Applications for school places can follow.
Earlier this year, Manor House School has it's ISI Inspection. During the rigorous and robust inspection period, inspectors visited lessons, spent time in the playgrounds observed School activities, met with different groups of pupils and staff. They said 'The school's seven core values are widely understood and often expressed in the community life of the school. Pupils enjoy their learning and work hard to achieve their best. They are motivated and diligent in many activities. Pupils work together collaboratively and support each other well. They take pride in each other’s achievements as well as their own. Pupils are caring, accept that everyone is an individual and enjoy spending time together.' They also said, 'Pupils make good progress across the school and in all subjects because there is a robust system in place to track achievement. Leaders have a good understanding of progress data and use the results from termly class assessments to identify pupils who may need additional support. There is comprehensive intervention to provide individual help. Pupils and parents value this support because it builds confidence and helps pupils to make additional progress.'
