On Monday 20 May 2024, Manor House School, Bookham invited parents from the local community to a Teddy Bears' Picnic in The Dell.
Visitors to the Teddy Bears' Picnic enjoyed fun time with their teddies, and their parents, in the glorious sunshine.
The Dell is the Forest School setting at Manor House School, Bookham. Nestled within 17 acres of beautiful grounds, The Dell is surrounded by trees, with a pond, fire circle, Mud Kitchen and picnic benches. Perfect for young adventurers who like nothing more than climbing trees, gathering sticks for the camp fire or spotting newts in the pond.
Children from the Nursery and Lower Prep School have regular weekly Forest School lessons. Pupils from the Upper Prep School and Senior School also use The Dell as an outdoor learning space from time to time. According to the archives, The Dell was used as an atmospheric Drama space for Shakespeare events.
