Year 11 Food and Nutrition GCSE students undertook their Final Menu practical, with the task of cooking three dishes within 3 hours.

The project title that they have been working on is 'Plan, prepare, cook and present a range of dishes that meet the dietary needs of a person with Type 2 Diabetes. Present three dishes.'

This is the final part of their second Non-Exam Assessment coursework project and they have been working hard on research, trialling dishes, evaluation, nutritional analysis and time planning to be able to cook the three dishes in 3 hours.

They each produced an excellent range of dishes, including making pastry and pasta by hand, cooking meat, fish, fruits and vegetables and using various preparation and cooking methods, all with thoughtful final presentation.

They showed resilience and determination throughout and can be very proud of what they produced.
